In an age dominated by speed, information overload, and an increasingly distracted way of looking at the world,
"THE POETRY OF SEEING. Loreto Bertoli, Painter of Illegio and the Soul" invites visitors to rediscover the value of observation, contemplation, and wonder.
The exhibition features more than fifty works by Loreto Bertoli, the painter from the village of Illegio, presented in an extraordinary dialogue with masterpieces by some of the greatest figures of international art from the late nineteenth and twentieth centuries, including Gauguin, Millet, Toulouse-Lautrec, Picasso, Balla, De Chirico, Carrà, Morandi, and Kokoschka. This unique comparison highlights Bertoli's expressive power while offering visitors an intense artistic experience that inspires both emotion and reflection.
