THE HEAVENLY JERUSALEM
'Behold, the dwelling of God is with men, He will dwell with them '(Ap 21,3)

Ap 21.1-4
And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: the heaven and the first earth had passed away, and in fact the sea was no more.
I also saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. I heard a loud voice from the throne and said:
'Behold, the dwelling of God is with men, He will dwell with them and they will be his people and God himself will be with them, their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the former things have passed away ' .
The city fills the scene, with three visible sides of the walls, the three ports for each side. At the center, on a hill that is also found in other scenes, he stands the throne of David, and upon the throne is seated the Lord Jesus.
Also they sit on the same throne Maria, who bows and is crowned by the Son. The gesture reminds an ancient spousal rite, signifying the covenant of love of God is with men, or the deification of Mary according to the original plan of God the Creator.
The high place, the mountain, the bell tower, indicate the goal of Heaven. However, the need and the commitment of the rise (known to all peoples, all cultures and all religions) are preceded - according to Christian revelation - by a lowering. The deification of Mary and of every man, is a consequence of the humanization of God.
From the throne flows the river of Living Water, while the hand of the Father descends from above. Behind the throne, exuberantly the Tree of Life.
